Are you ready for the 30 Day Fitness Challenge!!!!

We embrace all aspects of our queens and want to help encourage you to get healthy physically. Let’s do this together! For the next 30 days, follow us as we:
1. Eat clean (minimal to no processed foods and limit red meat to once a week. Increase seafood intake and increase your fruit and veggie intake, example: one salad a day or extra veggies with your source of protein )
2. Workout at least 5 to 6 times a week for at least 30 minutes (this includes both cardio and strength training so have fun and switch it up)
3. Drink half of your body weight in ounces of water (or if you’re ready to kick it up drink a gallon a day)
4. Take a daily vitamin be it multivitamin or hair vitamin to help with hair growth.

Day 1: Today’s challenge is to start to incorporate lemons into your water. Lemons are an excellent aid in weight loss and helping detoxify the body. If you’re bored with plain water, go ahead and add lemon slices to jazz it up a little bit. The #AfrikinkyWorkoutOftheDay are push ups. In addition to your 30 min workout of your choice, you are to do 25 pushups at your own pace, you can do them all at once or spread them out throughout the day. Just get them in. Also feel free to do the modified version on your knees to help you. It is better to do them on your knees and do them strongly than to do full range with your legs straight out with incorrect form. Day 2 of the #AfrikinkyFitnessChallenge how did you do yesterday? Did you conquer all goals? If so more power to you! πŸ’ƒDid you have a slip up? If so, still celebrate because today is a new day to be stronger than you were yesterday. Today’s goal nutritionally is to incorporate a healthy fat into your diet. There is a huge myth that fat is bad for you but contrary to belief healthy fats actually help maintain your body functions and ironically help you burn fat. Some good sources of healthy fat include avocados, extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil, fatty fish like salmon and nuts such as almonds and walnuts. Add a little of these items to your foods todayπŸ’ƒπŸ‘πŸ˜™ Today’s #AfrikinkyWorkoutOftheDay are squat. Squats are one of the most powerful bodyweight exercises, as they target all the large muscle groups in the body. In addition to your 30 minute cardio or strength training workout, give me at least 25 squats

BlissΒ Smoothie

Hey you guys.Β  Here is a very delicious smoothie to get your day started off right.Β  TheΒ Alkalinity Bliss Smoothie.Β  It is very tasty and fulfilling.Β  I really enjoy the taste because no ingredient is overpowering.Β  All the ingredients blend very well with each other.Β  With this smoothie, you are starting your day off with good heart healthy fats from the avocado and coconut water, fiber and vitamin C from the pear, spinach, and chia seeds, lastly 20 grams of protein from the protein powder.

I am a big fan of vanilla.Β  So in place of the almond milk and protein powder listed below, I used vanilla almond milk and vanilla soy protein powder. This is a great smoothie to include as a meal replacement as well.

1/4 cup coconut water
1/2 pear
1/4 avocado
1 cup spinach
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp chia seeds
1 scoop protein powder (hemp, pumpkin, pea)
pure water

Blend all together and Eureka!!!!
